How to use this app
Open Solo Practice. No account needed — just type an incident type, choose a difficulty, and click Generate Quiz.
A realistic UK incident is generated with a Control mobilisation message. Read it, then click Start Quiz.
Each of the 12 questions advances the incident narrative. Answer before the timer runs out. The correct answer and explanation appear immediately after you submit — no waiting for an instructor.
After question 12, see your total score and correct count. Click Show Full Review to go through every question with the correct answers and explanations — a structured debrief you can read at your own pace.
Click Instructor Login then Register. The very first person to register is automatically made admin — no approval needed. All later registrations need admin approval.
From the dashboard click + Generate New Quiz. Type an incident type (e.g. House Fire with persons reported, RTC — multiple vehicles, Industrial chemical spill) and choose a difficulty. The AI takes about 15–20 seconds to write 12 questions.
Read through the questions. If you're happy, click Create Session & Get Room Code. A 6-letter room code is generated (e.g. AB3KF7).
Display the room code on a screen or read it aloud. Players open the same URL on their phones or laptops and click Join a Quiz.
Once everyone has joined, click Start Quiz. Question 1 appears on all screens simultaneously.
Players answer before the timer runs out. When everyone has answered (or time is up) click Reveal Answer — the correct option highlights and the explanation appears. Then click Next Question to advance.
After question 12, click Show Final Results to display the leaderboard. You can also click End at any point to finish early.
Players do not register. Just open the app URL, click Join a Quiz, enter the room code your instructor gives you, and type your name.
You'll see a waiting room showing who else has joined. When the instructor starts, the first question appears automatically.
Each question begins with a brief narrative update advancing the incident story. You are the Incident Commander. Read it, then answer the question before the timer runs out.
After the instructor reveals the answer, you'll see whether you were right, how many points you earned, and where you sit on the leaderboard.
| Situation | Points |
|---|---|
| Correct answer | 1,000 pts base |
| Speed bonus (answer quickly) | up to +500 pts |
| Wrong answer | 0 pts |
| Did not answer before time ran out | 0 pts |
Every quiz follows the same narrative arc, progressing the incident from the initial call through to stand-down.
