1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at commandgridtools.com and the training tools provided on it (the "Tools"). The Tools are operated by Exmoor AI Labs Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17177556), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. CommandGridTools is a trading name of Exmoor AI Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing the website or using any Tool, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Tools. How we handle personal data is described separately in our Privacy Notice.

2. Training and exercise use only

The Tools are for training, exercise, and educational use only. They generate or analyse simulated material using artificial intelligence, and their output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or wrong.

You must not rely on any output from the Tools for real operational, command, tactical, safety, assessment, or decision-making purposes at a live incident or in any real-world emergency. The Tools are not professional, operational, medical, legal, or safety advice, and are not a substitute for official National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) National Operational Guidance, College of Policing Authorised Professional Practice, your own organisation's policies and procedures, accredited training, or qualified human judgement.

You remain responsible for verifying any output against authoritative sources before acting on it. Do not use the Tools to record or manage real operational incident data.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Tools you agree that you will not:

• upload photographs or data showing real casualties, real incidents, or identifiable members of the public without their consent, or record real operational incident data (see also our Privacy Notice);
• use the Tools for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or your organisation's policies;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to, scrape, bulk-download, overload, or otherwise interfere with the Tools or the systems that host them, or circumvent any usage or rate limits;
• copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Tools, except to the extent the law permits;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Tools or their output except as permitted under a separate written agreement with us.

4. Accounts

Most Tools are open to use without an account. Where a Tool does require an account (currently CommandGridQuiz), new registrations are reviewed and approved by an administrator and may be declined or suspended at our discretion. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Intellectual property and reference material

The website, the Tools, their design, and our original content are owned by Exmoor AI Labs Ltd or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Tools and the training output they generate for your own training and exercise purposes.

Some Tools draw on third-party reference material — including NFCC National Operational Guidance (© NFCC) and College of Policing Authorised Professional Practice — which is used here for training and reference purposes and remains the property of its respective owners. CommandGridTools is an independent training toolkit and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the NFCC or the College of Policing.

6. Paid licences and donations

Paid or subscription access to enhanced features and our service layer is provided under a separate licence or order agreement between us and your organisation. Where such an agreement exists and conflicts with these Terms, that agreement takes precedence for the services it covers.

Some Tools display an optional donation prompt. Donations are voluntary gifts, processed securely by Stripe, and are non-refundable. Making a donation does not create any contract, service guarantee, or additional rights to the Tools. We never see or store your card details — see our Privacy Notice for how donation data is handled.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Tools are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty that the Tools or their output will be accurate, complete, reliable, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage — including any loss arising from reliance on the Tools or their output, loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Tools.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or withdraw any Tool, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the version number and date at the top of this page show when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Tools after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
